Daniel McCann - President and CEO
Mr. McCann is an energetic entrepreneur and innovator with 18 years of experience in Information Technology and the founder of the company. Prior to establishing NetSecure, Mr. McCann worked in a variety of leadership roles in information technology. Mr. McCann has the rare combination of technical skills, marketing aptitude, and business sense critical to a leadership position in a technology company. Mr. McCann possesses a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Regina, graduating with Distinction. Mr. McCann currently holds 4 patents in information technology and security, and was a finalist in the 2010 ABEX Young Entrepreneur of the Year awards.
Gene Schenberg - VP Sales
Formerly a buyer and product line manager for RadioShack, Babbage’s, The Handleman Company and others specializing in PC and Video Game Software and accessories, Gene moved from buying to selling as Vice President of Channel Sources, Inc., a nationwide representative organization selling and marketing consumer products into the mass market. In that role he was involved in conducting relationships directly with senior management of many retailers and distributors including CompUSA, Wal-Mart, Ingram, Navarre, and others. Gene was also VP of retail and online sales for 321 Studios, the market leader in its segment helping grow the company from $0 to $40 million in sales in less than 2 years. Having spent the last 5 years in the GPS industry, Gene continues to add to his technical and retail experience bringing cutting edge technology to the masses.
Caroline Quinn - Vice President Marketing
Caroline joined NetSecure in October 2009. Ms Quinn is a senior marketing executive having spent five years as Director, Direct Marketing and Store Promotions for Staples (Nov 2004-Aug 2009). Prior to Staples, Caroline was the Director, New Member Marketing for Columbia House between Mar 2003 and Nov 2004. Caroline spent over seven years with HP/Compaq between 1996 and Jan 2003 as Manager, Strategic Planning, Direct Marketing and Manager, Direct Marketing, Compaq Canada. Between 1990 and 1996 Caroline was the Manager Customer Retention for Cantel Paging (now Rogers AT&T Wireless). In 1990, Caroline obtained an Honours Bachelor of Arts, Sociology and Communications.
Karen Mayne - Controller
Karen is a Certified Management Accountant with over ten years of experience in all aspects of financial management and analysis. She has spent approximately half her career as a team member at two of Canada's largest professional accounting services firms, KPMG and Ernst & Young. In addition to this work, Karen also served for five years as the Controller for Hospitality Network – a subsidiary of SaskTel with operations cross Canada. In this role, she managed all aspects of the day-to-day accounting function, while providing leadership to the accounting department and to numerous strategic partners across the organization.
Nima Sharifimehr - Product Development Manager
Nima Sharifimehr is a Product Development Manager at NetSecure Technologies, Ltd where he has been working since Septmener 2006. Driving the overall architecture of company products and developing software engineering plans are in his area of expertise. Also he has over 10 years of experience in design and development of secure and robust software systems. Nima has a BEng degree in Software Engineering from the National University of Iran, and an MSc Degree in Computer Science from the University of Regina. His research and publications during his studies were focused on the application of Markovian techniques in enterprise distributed software systems.
